The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual Ceremony and Unity March Monday, January 19, 2026 The City of Norfolk invites the community to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the annual ceremony held at the historic Attucks Theatre, 1010 Church Street. The program begins at 9:00 a.m. and will feature musical tributes celebrating unity and freedom, including performances by Minister Peggy Britt, Minister Earl Bynum, and the Norfolk Street Choir Project. Following the ceremony, City Council members and community leaders will lead a Unity March from the Attucks Theatre to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Monument at 10:00 a.m. This event is free and open to the public. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
